about

Daiei Spray.
Formed in Aomori, Japan, the band moved its base to Tokyo around 2008 and has been active since then. The members have changed several times.
The Previous album "Behind The Wall (LP+CD)" was released from this label in 2020, and it was a reliable event in the last few years that the band overcame the effects of the Corona virus by continuing to play through the crisis. (All but a few of the release tours at the time were cancelled in Japan and overseas.)
Kosuke (also a member of PLAY DEAD SEASON/ALP$BOYS) joined the band as a new drummer during the period when Virus was tossing and turning. The current organization is the most active in the past.
This new record (7"), based on the above three years, will finally be released in early summer of 2023.

The four songs on the album are, in a sense, a return to the roots of "Revolution Summer" but the straight-ahead Punk/R&R strings and toughness twist the value of "Revolution Summer," which is built on delusion.
The guitarist delivers killer riffs throughout each song, and coupled with Bassist craftsmanship, gives the song a swell. The drummer, who beats it and brings it to an exhilarating rage, and the singer's extended and distinctive voice form a presence unique to a Japanese band, and the band's character is well expressed here as well.It is similar to Hüsker Dü/Willful Neglect/Down By Law/State, etc., and is a product of the year 2023, the result of years of crossbreeding the semen of The Stooges.
There is a strong push from power bands such as Fu Manchu and Nebula, and naturally elements of their UK melodic punk roots, such as 80s UK punk_Chron Gen and Peter & the Test Tube Babies, are also incorporated. Their "chosen starting point" as a veteran Japanese emotional punk band is expressed in the starting point of this album.

The band's attitude is to ensure quality without slowing down while approaching a generation in which each member's environment and responsibilities are becoming more diverse. This single (7") records the band Daiei Spray's attitude as if to make up for the things that have been delayed over the past three years one by one, despite the adversity. As a record, this work will be released with meaning.

The artwork for the album was created by Mr. Tange, who is also active in PROM etc. His skill in creating a three-dimensional image of the band is evident in his hi-speed, freaks-like work.
Recorded by Kosuke osawa (g-roks studio) & junta hayashi (nonewyork studio)
